Sooner or later we should all consider what will happen to our assets when we die. There are statutory rules (intestacy rules) which specify how things should be managed if nothing is done; however, these rules can be complicated, and will often not deal with things satisfactorily. Even if they do, there can be comfort for friends and family in knowing that the arrangements being made are those which you chose, rather than those imposed by Act of Parliament, by default, because nothing had been done about them.

Your Will defines what is to happen to your assets when you die and who organises the administration. There are detailed rules about how you should make a Will, and what it should say to carry your wishes into effect. These can create traps, and we have seen many fall into them by using stationers’ forms, or indeed the computerised Will packages used by Will-making companies.

As experienced expert lawyers we will give you the advice you need in a friendly and approachable way so that you can protect those you care about.

Are you looking for a Will or Power of Attorney you have already made with a local firm?

If your Will or, Enduring Power of Attorney or Lasting Power of Attorney was held at the Shrewsbury office of Terry Jones Solicitors (a trading style of the collapsed Metamorph Group) the document is now held with us.

In addition  if you had a Will or power of attorney prepared by one of the following Solicitors’ firms in Shrewsbury: Turnbull Garrard Solicitors, Moss & Poulson Solicitors, Scott Lister Solicitors or Linder Myers Solicitors (your will may have been prepared by one of the following solicitors: Michael Limbrey, David Poulson, Anna James, Bridget Marshall, Alastair Brierley or Stuart Lister or Spencer Newsome), your Will  has been transferred to us and you Power of Attorney may have been transferred to us too  as those firms were acquired by Linder Myers that itself was acquired by Metamorph.
